Follow-up cadence tracker

Who you contacted, when you followed up, and what is owed to whom right now.

Cold outreach converts at a lower rate than even a mediocre warm intro, so the point of tracking it is not volume. It is making sure the follow-up that is owed actually happens, and that the ones that are finished get closed out rather than nagged.

The cadence this assumes is the one its source sets: if there is no reply within about a week, one polite follow-up. A second silence after that is an answer. There is a single follow-up column here for that reason, not two.

Spreadsheet

What is in it

  • Outreach

One row per investor contacted cold. The follow-up date calculates from first contact, so what is due is visible without working it out each time.

  • The cadence

The rules this tracker assumes, so the columns are not the only place they live.

How to use it

Notes

The days-since column uses today's date, so it recalculates every time the file opens rather than showing the number from when you last saved. That is deliberate — a stale figure in this column would be worse than none.
